OPG Mission

Operation Greyhound is a not-for-profit 100% volunteer organization dedicated to the placement of retired racing greyhounds in loving homes. We are completely dependent on the support of our community for volunteers, and on donations from generous souls which help us to save precious greyhound lives. If you've ever been exposed to these animals, you know what I mean. They are very special creatures who repay any love shown to them tenfold. Volunteer with Operation Greyhound!

If you would like to volunteer with our organization, please fill out our volunteer form. It may take a few days for someone to respond, we are a 100% volunteer organization. You can contact the OPG Volunteer Coordinator if you have any questions after filling out our form. We look forward to hearing from you.

Foster a Greyhound

Fostering is a great way to help a greyhound find a home. By living in a home with love and attention, even the shyest greyhound tends to come out of their shell. Fostering also allows our organization to take in more greyhounds during overflow periods. I have personally fostered a greyhound, and found it to be an extremely rewarding experience. You can read about my personal fostering experience and decide if fostering might be right for you. There are not always dogs available for fostering, but when there are, I think it's a win-win proposition.
