Hi everyone,
What a happy day it is for all of us. I just spoke with Pamela and she said that Vivi is on her bed and under her blanket for the first time in eleven days. Pamela wanted to me to express to each and everyone one of you how grateful she is for your help. Without you this might not have been possible. So, here's the story:
Pamela got a call from a man named Daniel this morning. He said that he thought he saw her dog in the canyon behind his house sleeping. Pamela asked if she was dead. Daniel said no, just sleeping. He said that she had been there for a couple of days, but he thought it was the new neighbors' dog. The location was on Eagle Street, around the 3800 block. Pamela left immediately to go to the area. When Pamela arrived, Daniel showed her to the spot. Vivi had dug two holes and was asleep in one of them. Pamela was able to walk up to her and put a leash on her. Other than losing about five pounds and a small scratch under one eye, she is in very good shape. She's one tough girl and very happy to be back home.
By the way, when Daniel saw Vivi this morning, he had to go back to Albertson's to get the number. He remembered seeing a flyer there. That flyer made all the difference in the world. Vivi was a little over 1/2 mile from where she originally ran.
Bruna and Bob also wanted me to express to you just how wonderful they think you all are for spending your time to help with Vivi's search. The greyhound community is the best and a special thanks to people like Daniel for caring about all critters.
This weekend we will be taking down the remaining flyers. Any help is appreciated. This will just be on an individual basis, no set schedule.
Again, it's a happy ending! Our gratitude is beyond words! Give yourself a big pat on the back. Job well done.....
